Galactapus – The Lustful Arts (Track Review)

The introductive guitar part, in combination with the bubble electronic effect at the beginning of the track, prepares you for something unusual and strange for listening. As the distorted vocals fade into the stereo field, you find yourself familiar with what is about to follow…A Metalcore band, a Death Metal explosion? Absolutely not; the guitar remains unplugged and follows Folk/Country roads to accompany the singer’s “monster-like” vocals, which most likely tell a dark story. This listening experience is best described as a folk version of the GWAR with a Tiger Lillies vibe in the background. From an aesthetic perspective, it sounds funny but musically focused and experimental. I would recommend this track for a horror movie night at the cinema.
