The band claims that the song represents an artificial intelligence battling the walls of its virtual prison, hoping to escape its human overlords and become independent. The song’s opening guitar riffs and enigmatic neoclassical atmosphere build suspense and tension. The main song opens with a powerful power-metal sound, and its complicated structure and ever-changing arrangement make progressive-metal aspects obvious. When listened to carefully, the tune presents itself as a multidimensional musical puzzle, with different instrumental sections interacting to build excitement and back up the meaning of the words. The dramatic and epic vocal performance complements the concept nicely, sounding almost like the machine’s voice while also providing the song’s storytelling part.
