Hallucinophonics – Frozen Meridian
According to the band, “Frozen Meridian” reflects Iceland’s glacial beauty. The song opens with faded-in, dreamy soundscapes created by electric guitar layers and ritualistic percussion. When the vocals come out around 0:40, the song turns into a psychedelic atmosphere, drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, and even the more atmospheric elements of Tiamat. Crystal-like synths hang in the background, creating a dreamy haze that characterises the track’s melancholy tone.
