Heroes 2 None – Gone
HEROES 2 NONE are battle-ready veterans of Danish and international punk and Oi! scenes. The band was formed in 2016 and consists of musicians that have previously played in well-known and controversial acts such as The Zero Point, The Guv’nors, Last Seen Laughing, and The Hoolies. This collective history can be heard in their sound, giving “Gone” a real, mature edge built in years of underground punk culture. “Gone” begins with an explosion of loud, angry punk guitars that set an unstoppable rock attitude. The raw power is sharp, recreating the spirit of vintage punk with a modern touch. As the vocals begin, the music takes on a “too cool for school” attitude, clearly inspired by old-school UK punk and bands such as The Anti-Nowhere League. The music is influenced by street punk aesthetics, resulting in a chaotic but controlled “beautiful mess” that defines the genre at its best. The song is fast, groovy, and driven by a strong rhythm section, and the unexpectedly clean and balanced audio mix allows every section to hit with clarity, which is not always the case with punk recordings. The flow is spreading making it simple to “scream” along and experience the outspoken enthusiasm, as if preparing for a full-blown sound attack!
