DESU TAEM – Eternal Toilet Paper

The opening rock energy of the song recalls a sped-up combination of Ted Nugent’s aggressive push and ZZ Top attitude. The song’s sound changes toward a more contemporary style as it comes into its main form, but the opening riff’s blues-rock roots are still present and obviously reference to the song’s strong 1970s roots. The guitar solo develops in a short, focused moment, with Ritchie Blackmore-like elements which provide a melodic and slightly neoclassical character without being extremely loud. This section maintains the track’s tight and compact energy while confirming its connection to classic rock traditions. Throughout the song, old-school rock elements are combined with a professionally riff-based approach, resulting in something recognisable and distinctive. As with previous DESU TAEM releases, a bigger boost in the low end would considerably improve the overall production effect, giving the riffs more weight and making the rhythm strike harder. Nonetheless, the song works as a strong mix of vintage rock spirit and contemporary attitude.
