DESU TAEM – Batman on Acid
Sharp guitars enter the mix and slowly build up until a constant mechanical beat takes control, carrying the song ahead with almost industrial fury. The sound is raw and uncompromising, leaning towards a DIY aesthetic that occasionally jumps above expectations, nevertheless this roughness ultimately contributes to the track’s strong, no-holds-barred attitude. Rather than feeling like an issue, the production choices enhance the punch-you-in-the-chest mood and reinforce the song’s aggressive nature. At times, the music feels really frightening, bringing back Rammstein’s cold heaviness and The 69 Eyes’ dark, gothic tone. Around 3:04, the track changes speeds, slowing down and spinning into a more chaotic and disorienting section that increases the suspense before the finale. This final section is intentionally chaotic, providing the listener with a sense of controlled craziness that fits the song’s twisted character.
