“Moon Dancer” by Tom Katz is a short nevertheless fascinating audio story that feels like a missing fragment from a 1970s giallo film soundtrack. The song begins with experimental guitar sounds and cinematic backing vocals, creating a strange, exploratory mood characteristic of Goblin or Ennio Morricone’s more surreal moments. As the music evolves, minor blues notes enter the mix, giving the composition a smoky, nighttime atmosphere before bursting into an unexpected a cappella section.
