Simon Romain Jean – Touch the flame
Touch the Flame opens with a relaxing electric guitar, creating a lovely atmospheric sound. Simon Romain Jean’s voice switches between singing and whispering, offering the song a close in nature, even confessional feeling. The songwriting is extremely moving, with love lyrics that ring deep like long-forgotten sensations returned to life. The song combines Americana and folk influences, producing a warm, honest “movie-inspired” soundtrack. The arrangement is minimal but vibrant in expression, allowing each instrument to freely breathe in the audio mix. The mix deserves special mention; Simon’s vocals are front and center, getting attention without crushing the layered instrumentation. The track has a melancholic warmth to it, bringing memories from the past that are never missed. It’s the kind of music that sticks with you, not just because of the harmony, but also because of the feelings that it creates. Thank you, Simon, for creating such a moving and soul-touching ballad. You made my day…
