Shaky – Earthquake

1 min read

Shaky’s “Earthquake” introduces us to the exciting solo effort of an experienced producer and rocker with a long history in the industry. Shaky contributes a plethora of expertise to his latest project, having been a member of bands such as Cold Fronts and Killer Bangs.  Shaky shows his multifaceted talent and commitment to his art in all aspect of his work, from production to engineering, writing to recording all instruments (except from drums), and even managing the mixing and mastering in his own home studio. The song has a catchy groove that draws attention right away, with a funky bassline acting as its basis. Shaky’s vocals give the song’s rough edge since they have a raw, gritty tone that is reminiscent of punk rock icons like The Skids. Musically, “Earthquake” traverses eclectic territory, blending elements of punk with hints of reggae and ska influences. The infusion of 1980s vibes, with nods to iconic bands like The Police and early U2, lends the track a nostalgic appeal while maintaining a contemporary edge. The unquestionable energy and atmosphere of “Earthquake” is one of its most notable aspects. Particularly the basslines add to the groovy and psychedelic ambiance that fascinates listeners and invites them to totally engage themselves in the sound experience.
