Leon Frear – A Morning House  (Track Review)

1 min read

The song was performed and recorded by a person in a tight bedroom in a suburb of Chicago. The song is about the people he loved and left in between all of those places, including Chicago, Illinois; Athens, Georgia; and Cincinnati, Ohio. The lyrics of the song are pure rock-n-roll wisdom, discussing the composer’s inner journey through a real trip he took by travelling in various US cities. On a musical level, there is a laid-back Indie Rock vibe that the artist delivers through the happy atmosphere and that reminds me a lot of bands such as Kasabian due to the uptempo guitar riffs and the almost singing style of the artist. The production is nice, the musical instruments are easily heard throughout the entirety of the song, and the producer has done a good job with some effects on the vocals. If you love the British Rock scene of the 2000s, then you have a cool artist to check out!
