Angerland – 2020 Visions (Track Review)
Angerland, a London-based band that arose from the ashes of the defunct group “Fuckshovel,” delivers a powerful punch of rage-n-roll that is reminiscent of bands like Killing Joke, Ruts DC, and New Model Army. The members of Angerland, who reemerged in 2018, are no strangers to the live music industry; prior to their present form, they toured with acts like Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, The Germs, and Slim Jim Phantom in the UK and as far as SXSW. The song is a punk music protest to what happened and is still happening with the COVID-19 activity restrictions. The soundtrack of the band’s protest is a modern Punk song with cool production and hard rock guitars that is catchy and too damn professional for a song of protest! The vocalist delivers personal storytelling by changing moods and adjusting his message to the rollercoaster of moods and emotions that he adopts during the performance. If you like the old-school sound of the New Model Army then I believe that it is worth listening to this cool song!
