Saves The Witch – She Dances With Knives (Track Review)

1 min read

The majority of Saves the Witch’s music is instrumental, and it includes elements of Post Rock, Post Metal, Ambient, Lo-Fi, and Blues. This track unleashes the passion of the artist to combine all these music genres and create a multi-genre track for a variety of fans with different music tastes. Although the initial concept is interesting and the guitar parts have a potential, there are two factors influencing the final audio result. First of all, the lo-fi sound of the production is not helping the artist’s effort to musically implement his vision. The guitar sound, in particular, which is clever in terms of orchestration, has an audio quality that makes it difficult for non-musicians to understand the content. Moreover, sometimes I feel that a musical bridge is missing to bridge all the embedded music genres and make the transition from one music genre to the other easier. I believe that a main guitar riff with a series of ever-evolving production effects (to ease the transition) would work well to improve the song. I am waiting to hear the new work of the artist, and I believe that a technical improvement will boost the commercial and artistic value of his music.
