Maybe Human – The Unknown (Track Review)
This is an experimental guitar-driven track with a lot of influences from the Post-Rock and the Post-Metal music worlds; Tool seems to have been a big inspiration for the composer of the song. The track begins with a minimalistic “Avant-garde” riff that follows the track and defines its experimental, almost atonal nature. The unusual riff is accompanied by the basic formula of heavy rock orchestration, resulting in an intriguing, psychedelic rock musical puzzle. The audio production is nice, although in the audio mix I feel that in several sections the guitar parts (guitar solos, etc.) are overshadowed by the main riff and do not get enough space on the audio field. However, I understand that this is a matter of taste and not strictly a technical error. The psychedelic direction of the song will keep you focused on the music and probably guide you to the rest of the band’s back catalogue. I am looking forward to their next musical move…
