Experimental Rockers Hongo Fuu release “Live at Mora Books”

“Live at Mora Books” is the first live album from the Experimental band Hongo Fuu. Straight from the tropical hell of Costa Rica, they recorded this EP from the immortal “Mora Books” in downtown San José in early 2022 with the help of Phosphorus Studios. It contains 3 tracks from the band’s debut LP “FUU” Released by Sliptrick Records in 2021. These tracks are “El culto al hongo azul”, “Ratwater” and “O Light of Dawn” which features Abrahkkan from the legendary Black Metal band “Alastor Sanguinary Embryo”. The EP also contains one track from the band’s EP “Marshmallow Sleep” (Don’t Fall for the Illusion) and one track from the band’s second EP “The Healing Ritual” (Paroxetine).
The band is known for blending genres like Prog Rock, Alternative metal, Jazz, Surf Rock, noise and extreme genres like Black Metal and Stoner Metal for a highly eclectic sound.

This EP is a great start if you want to get to know the band’s sound and style. Also is a great way to listen to them in a live setting as it is their first live performance release.
