Col Gerrard – Nowhere (Track Review)
The artist Col Gerrard is presenting a track called “Nowhere” which is inspired by the late 1990s/early 2000s Rock scene and artists such as Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows and Collective Soul. The track is a semi acoustic rock ballad with emotional lyrics related to loneliness, and the heavy voice of Col Gerrald (who sings in this song like Richard Marx and Bryan Adams) paints the track with vivid colors, offering moments of nostalgia and romance for the listener. The production of the song sounds OK to me, the orchestration follows the typical melodic rock structure consisting of acoustic and electric instruments, while the performance of the singer is also very interesting because he seems to understand the emotional weight of every word coming from his mouth. Overall, the track is interesting and includes catchy melodic lines that could also be useful if the artist chooses to sing this track as a duet with another artist, probably a female voice, to create an artistic antithesis.
