DarWin 2 – A Frozen War (Origin of Species)

DarWin is a Prog duo with DarWin as songwriter and Simon Phillips as a producer/musician. The new release of the band is called “A Frozen War” and includes famous guest musicians such as Matt Bissonette (Elton John, David Lee Roth, Ringo Starr), Billy Sheehan (bass, Mr Big/ Steve Vai/Winery Dogs), Guthrie Govan (guitar, Aristocrats/Asia/Hans Zimmer/Steven Wilson), Greg Howe (guitar, Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake), Derek Sherinian (keyboards, Dream Theater/Alice Cooper/Black Country Communion). The album features 5 tracks with each track surrounded by the music spirit of the participating musicians. Every famous musician adds a different piece to the puzzle of the album leading it to a multi genre audio result. The overall sound reminds me artists such as Toto, Neal Morse and in general there is a melodic rock attitude that maintains the uptempo mood of this album.
