Voices of the Guardians, an Epic Musical Album Of Native American Music

1 min read

Native American flutes, piano and the world famous SkyWalker Symphony lead you on an unforgettable sojourn into a world of ancient wisdom and Native American traditions and textures.

“Voices of the Guardians” is a collaboration between Native American composer and musician Gareth Laffely, and Emmy award winning producer/composer Lance Bendiksen, released in August of 2018.  The project also features the talent of internationally acclaimed Native American actor, Wes Studi ( Dances With Wolves, Avatar. Hostiles).  This musical art piece features ancient wisdom from Native American Elders and tribal leaders such as Chief Joseph, Cherokee Beloved Woman Nancy Ward, Chief Seattle and Sitting Bull, among others.  Their words echo from the past – being brought to life by the unmistakable voice of Wes Studi, where they weave within the sweeping instrumental compositions of Laffely and Bendiksen.  The project was recorded at George Lucas’s Sky Walker Sound in California with SkyWalker Symphony.

Voices of the Guardians must be one of the most uplifting and inspiring Native American albums to have come out of the industry for a decade. Laffely and Bendiksen have indeed created with the help of the amazing Skywalker Symphony and the vocal talents of the outstanding Wes Studi, an album that will live forever in the hearts of all.
