MINDSCAR – What’s Beyond The Light (Independent Release)

MINDSCAR is  a power trio from Orlando, Florida and just released a self financed album with 9 tracks full of complex music on metal format. Each track is a showcase of the technical skills of the musicians but it does not make the whole result boring. On the contrary, I think that every song has a “life” in this album and there are no fillers at all, just good music. The sound is similar to bands such as Death and Watchtower, speed metal with character and proud compositions. The only disadvantage of the album is the production of the drums which is a bit “St. Anger” for my ears… I suppose that if a label funds this band then everything will sound ok and the fans of the specific music genre will remain satified. Make sure that you will check out the band and keep an eye on their future activities.
