Pavlov’s Dog – House Broken Live 2015 (Rockville Music)

1 min read

The new album of Pavlov’s Dog epitomizes the spirit of the band by capturing a live performance of the group in Germany. This is a double CD + 1 DVD in a triple format which features a full concert of 24 songs and consists of 132 minutes of music. The playlist includes tracks tracks from all the eras of the band and also solo material by David Surkamp (vocals). The recording is sufficient to understand the quality of music and the band is in good musical shape so as to perform both old and new material quite successfully. The current line up is offering a “progressive” sound  since the line up includes six members if I remember well and they are able to play even older material that requires complicated musicianship and technical skills.  Moreover, the violin becomes an instrument that is a main contributor on the final music result and it is  a fact that will probably draw fans from folk music as well.
