Municipal Waste Live Memories From Athens

Municipal Waste is a part of the new “retro-thrash ” bands that are in to today’s metal news due to the dynamic music , the “green” ecological political views and the love for Toxic Avenger parody. The news os the appearance in Athens along with a cheap ticket price was a teaser for all the thrash maniacs in Greece, so on Wednesday 2th the live venue was full of people ready to rock out the place..

M. Waste came up  onstage almost at midnight because previously we saw 2 interesting Greek support bands that draw the interest of the public: Fall Of A Man and Crucifier. The boys from Virginia were surprised by seeing so many people waiting for them…Do not forget that it was Wednesday and most of the people had to wake up early the other day.. The opening track really set the arena on fire, people from all over the venue came in front of the stage to feel the groove and dance all the way to hell along with the punk / thrash beats of the band. It was an interactive party for the fans and the band, a pecious amount of energy was being exchanged through the two sides: M. Waste were screaming loud their thrash attitude and fans were repliing at the band’s energy by headbanging , doing crowd surfing, stage diving (even ladies) and generall making the the hell out of the pit.

The most crazy moments were at the exposure of “Sadistic Magician” and “Wrong Answer” songs that are the official promo videos of the band. Th audience really enjoyed by lishening the highlights of the band. The whole set was limited , about 50 minutes and I do not why but sure the whole aesthetic experience of this event was really energetic.
