CYANIDE 4…Rock N Love Parade !

1. Hello guys, please let me know about the line up of the band and your musical influences…

Heyz there Skylight webzine! Well, Cyanide4 is a four piece band as the name actually shows. And we are planning to stay like that. So it’s me, Sinn, on the mike and rhythm guitar, Joxnyy Slut on leads, Nasty George -our heartbreaker on bass and Mike T on the drums. Talking about influences…well we have gone through all phases of metal; I have even played in a thrash band for a short time. Let’s say that they go from glam to punk and from heavy to pop rock. Bands like the Misfits, Ratt, Crashdiet and others have a lot to do with how we sound, but don’t forget, the main influence is the life we are living along with the Cyanide spirit burning within us.

2. What about your demo, would you like to let us know about the recording process and your impressions from the whole result.

Recording it was a nightmare. And that for only four songs, haha! We are kinda of a split band, as two of us live in the North of Greece, not in Athens. That’s why some drum parts were recorded in Thessaloniki and not at the Fragile Studios were we did the rest of the work. Finding hours to rehearse and then book the studio really gave us some hard times. Anyhow, we made it somehow and we were pretty satisfied with the results. You and the other listeners have to tell us what they think now…

3. What’s the feedback from the media & fans til now?

Greek media has responded very positive to Complex and that is very encouraging. You can check out reviews on our MySpace page myspace.com/cyani4de. And the fans….wow, that is the most exciting part! Yes, feedback is very good and of course our friends here in Greece are supporting us a lot!

4. Are you in contact with any labels?

We recently sent out the demo to some labels that might be interested in our music style. We haven’t received any answer yet, but you know how those things are, you have to be patient.

5. Do you have any plans for a tour locally or any interest from concert promoters abroad?

Not a tour yet, we are playing two gigs in Athens in October; dates will be announced soon on our page. But to give you a little teaser, the one will be a small show with some acoustic parts –girls prepare for some romance hehe- and on the other one we are supporting a band from L.A., they play a bit different style but who cares?!
As for abroad, no there are no plans yet. We could check on some promoters to book us some gigs, but we think it’s still a bit early. Though we’d love to play together with some “friend bands” from abroad like Danger for example!

6. You’re young and crazy, how important is for you to live the rock n roll lifestyle?

Young and crazy, yep those are the words and rock n roll is our life. I don’t know if we are going to be rockstars or something, but as long there is blood running through our veins, there will be rock n roll roaring through our brains and our hearts. And yeah, if you stroll around in the rock bars of Athens at night you might see and recognize the C4 dudes doing their thing… 😉

7. Do you think that internet & MySpace can help you establish a fanbase?

As I mentioned before, that is the coolest part! We got so many hits in such a short time, people asking for the cd in Germany, Sweden, America, even Japan! I’d like to take the chance now and thank all of them who are supporting us on our first steps! Cheers Sleazers –you rock!!!

8. How are you going to promote yourselves?

Well, MySpace is doing it’s magic already…We have already taken care of Greek press, we contacted Swedish and Spanish press and even got a live interview slot on an American Internet Radio (Smokin Tunz.net that is). And you are helping out as well right now so… thanx!

9. What’s your most rock n roll experience you have ever lived?

Well it’s exciting and terrifying at the same time, that, since we got the songs out, girls started to show excessive interest in us…Now we know a little bit of how big rockstars must feel.

10. What about your next plans?

While waiting for a label to maybe show some interest, we will continue working on songs for a full length album and bring it out on our own when it comes to it.
Until then, we will enjoy just playing together, hearing our songs played in clubs, bars and radio and try to have nothin’ but a good time!!!
