Shyfrin Alliance – Whiskey Blues

Whiskey Blues by Shyfrin Alliance begins with a rough, blues-driven guitar that  creates a dark atmosphere. The vocals have a deep, smokey presence that is raw, contributing to the track’s late-night barroom atmosphere. Warm, Moog-style synths are added beneath, giving the song a characteristic 1970s vibe, leading to a mix of classic blues and retrofuturistic sounds. The guitar work throughout is particularly groovy, expressive, and rhythmically interesting. The mix, on the other hand, might use some fine-tuning, particularly with EQ adjustments to help the guitar breath more freely and provide more clarity to the entire mix. Despite this, the track’s well-structured orchestration guarantees that it flows in harmony and easily. A standout moment comes at 2:13, when the guitar solo takes the lead. It’s a technically impressive and rhythmically compact moment that provides an intense energy to the track’s dark atmosphere. Overall, Whiskey Blues is a fascinating composition with vintage character, strong musicianship, and a dark, cinematic atmosphere. With a better mix, it could go much higher, but as it stands, it’s a cool and catchy trip through retro-blues area.
