Graffiti Welfare – Synesthesia (Track review)
The track Synesthesia begins with an atonal synth sound, and then an accompanying Stone Roses-like guitar riff blends into the musical field. On the background, the drum lines deliver an easy-listening atmosphere that merges with the rest of the musical elements and creates a lo-fi electronica sound in a nostalgic 1990s direction. On the orchestration level, the Ambient synth and the Trip-Hop beats drive the main flow of the song, while the rest of the instruments make their musical presence partially felt and adopt the main role in the stereo field very rarely (panning). To that end, I would like for the artist to allow more musical space for the other musical instruments as well, because the combination of beats/synth restricts the musical potential of the track. The main idea of the rock/ambient mix sounds good to me, an additional “touch” on the audio mix would be more than welcome.
