Barista – Billions (Track review)

Barista: Melodic hard rock with a 90s grunge edge that is produced by top session players from bands like Toto, Judas Priest, Supertramp, Kenny Loggins, and more. Their most recent album’s second single is this one, and it is called “Billions.” From the first notes of the track, it is obvious that here you have to deal with a bunch of talented musicians that originally play with or have played with multi-platinum artists. Will they manage to unite all these super-musical powers to perform a collaborative song? The answer is: ABSOLUTELY, YES! The vocal lines remind me a lot of the 1990s mainstream era of AOR in the 1990s; however, the music sounds fresh and modern without sacrificing the raw rock trademark of the song. The track is radio-friendly and catchy; I am sure that the radio stations in Los Angeles and beyond will dig it!
