History of Guns – Little Miss Suicide (25)

History of Guns, the UK industrial-post-punk veterans, celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut single with Little Miss Suicide (25) – a dramatic revision that brings together the past and present with aggression. This new version keeps the original’s dark energy while adding fresh experimental elements. The song begins with a groovy rock basis, which followed by  gothic vocals and dance-driven percussion to create a rhythmic pulse that distinguishes it from more standard post-punk releases. At 1:21, a change occurs: modern electronic elements enter the mix, introducing an experimental, almost futuristic atmosphere before the song returns to its Batcave-inspired post-punk roots. The interaction between the classic and contemporary continues, resulting in a catchy moment at 2:25, when the electronic elements return and integrate perfectly with the dark post-punk soundtrack. This “old meets new” approach transforms Little Miss Suicide (25) from a nostalgic tribute to a progression. The combination of industrial aggression, gothic atmosphere, and modern electronic experimentation ensures that History of Guns remains as innovative as ever. Fans of early Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy, and Killing Joke will find enough to enjoy here, as the band  reworks their history while welcoming the endless possibilities of the present.
