Pete International Airport – Sea of Eyes EP

Pete International Airport’s Sea of Eyes EP is an attracting journey through dark psychedelia, electronica, and post-industrial soundscapes. The EP, produced by Peter G. Holmström (The Dandy Warhols) and featuring mysterious vocals by Alexander Hackett, provides a dramatic experience that switches between atmospheric rock and deep electronic exploration. The title track, Sea of Eyes, leads the album with a layered production that balances dark guitar work, layered synths, and a complex audio mix that begs close listening. The GLOK Remix expands it into an even more open, electronic-driven dreamscape, with pulsating psychedelic sounds and an extended runtime that increase its hypnotic effect. Meanwhile, there are two separate remixes of Out Past the Razor Wire. The Post-Industrial Remix draws on early 1990s acid techno inspirations, combining raw electronica with ethereal female vocals to create an intriguing contrast between industrial and dreamlike atmosphere. The Anti-Everything Remix, on the other hand, goes deeper into electronica, reducing parts to their mechanical core for a more minimalist, experimental sound. The EP concludes with No Blindfold (omniscuro Remix), a bizarre and attractive experiment in sound design that uses vocoders, surreal effects, and deep panning studio methods that both confuse and engage. Overall, Sea of Eyes is a fascinating mix of darkwave, electronic psychedelia, and industrial atmosphere that proves Holmström’s ability to create truly atmospheric music. This EP is essential listening for fans of The Dandy Warhols, shoegaze, and experimental electronica, as well as anyone who appreciates music that resides somewhere between reality and dreams.
