The Berlin-based darkwave act Night Nail have released a remix album entitled ‘Fates Remade’ today. A track-by-track remodelling of their 2023 studio album, ‘Fates Explained’, it features remixes from a tour de force line-up of current Post-Punk and Darkwave creatives that include Bestial Mouths, Bedless Bones, A State of Flux, Kill Shelter, Gianmarco Silvetti, iamnoone, Antipole (produced by Pedro Code of IAMTHESHADOW), The Neuro Farm, A Cloud of Ravens, VV & The Void and ROKI.
Formed in Los Angeles and fronted by Brandon Robert, Night Nail debuted in 2014 with a self-titled EP before issuing the albums ‘LA Demons’ (2018) and ‘March To Autumn’ (2020). Eventually relocating to Germany, the group signed to Metropolis Records to release ‘Fates Explained’ in late 2023, followed by the archival set ‘Early Demons and Demos (10th Year Anniversary Edition)’ in June 2024.
In regard to ‘Fates Remade’, Robert states: “it was exciting to make because it took every ounce of faith I had to trust in the process, the contributing artist and the final remix. Relinquishing control was the hardest part, but they had to trust me, too. The rewards came from this trust and you can hear it in the songs.”
