Love Ghost is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band known for their distinctive blend of grunge, alternative rock and post-punk. Founded by singer/guitarist Finnegan Bell, they have earned plaudits from major US publications such as Rolling Stone, Alternative Press and American Songwriter, and have toured extensively outside their home territory in South America, Japan and Europe. They have also worked with the likes of Rico Nasty and Bali Baby.

Tim Skold is a Swedish musician and producer who records solo work as SKOLD and has also had associations with groups that include Marilyn Manson, Motionless In White, Shotgun Messiah, KMFDM and Not My God. Perhaps most notably, Skold produced Manson’s ’00s chart albums ‘The Golden Age Of Grotesque’ and ‘EAT ME, DRINK ME, as well as celebrated covers of electro-pop and rock staples ‘Tainted Love’ and ‘Personal Jesus’. He was also a full member of Manson’s band for several world tours. He later co-produced two albums by Motionless In White, with SKOLD touring as their support act, and has released several solo albums under that name.

‘Nightshade And Cocaine’ is the latest result of an ongoing collaboration between both artists and is taken from a self-titled album to be released in late 2024. “We are very excited to share this first single from our forthcoming album,” states SKOLD. “It’s not easy picking singles but this one is a favourite of mine because of the dynamics. It’s like a musical roller coaster, the highs and lows take you for a ride. This is also something that is reflected in the lyrics, which almost lightheartedly deal with some very heavy subjects.”

“This is a sonic journey that touches on many topics such as personal introspection, losing and finding your soul, witchcraft, death, the afterlife, and even politics and war,” adds Bell. “Deadly Nightshade [also known as Belladonna] is a flower that is intrinsically linked to witchcraft, particularly for flying, astral projection and as a symbol for death. This song is about altered states of mind and one’s psychology unravelling at the seams. It is dynamic, unconventional and imaginative and is one of my favourites on the album.”
