Easy Tears – The Avenue

Easy Tears’ “The Avenue” opens with ethereal saxophone sounds that create a nostalgic atmosphere. Following that, the drums mark the arrival of additional instruments, such as the bass and guitar, which blend in perfectly to provide a beautiful mix. The main mix immediately impresses the listener, recalling the sound of the 1980s with its extensive use of reverb and well-balanced mix that lets every instrument “breathe.” The saxophone and the orchestration’s dreamy pop approach provide the vocals a nice, gentle tone with a New Romantic vibe. The band’s catchy, radio-friendly sound is further enhanced by the way the synthesizers are laid out, giving the song a Pop/AOR direction with a melodic rock base. There are sections in the song that sound a lot like the band Mr. Mister, but with a contemporary production that derives from SynthWave. “The Avenue” is a remarkable song that connects the past and present thanks to its unique blend of vintage and modern elements.
