Outsound – Crème Brûlée

2 min read

Outsound was unintentionally founded during a Chris Cornell tribute concert in early 2018 and started writing right afterwards. Outsound’s “Crème Brûlée” erupts into a powerful hard rock soundscape, propelled by a captivating sequence of bass and drums. As the opening bars set the stage for what’s to come, the listener is immediately drawn into a world of intense musical energy. The song wastes no time in grabbing your attention, as the thunderous bassline intertwines with the driving drums to establish a solid foundation. The rhythmic prowess of the band shines through, creating a fierce and relentless groove that demands attention. This dynamic rhythm section serves as the backbone of the track, setting the stage for the electrifying journey that unfolds. Drawing inspiration from the heavy rock and grunge scene of the 1990s, “Crème Brûlée” exudes an unmistakable influence from bands like Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden. The raw, gritty energy reminiscent of that era permeates every note, capturing the essence of a time when hard rock reigned supreme. The dark and brooding atmosphere woven throughout the song mirrors the haunting melodies and introspective lyricism often associated with the grunge movement. Outsound channels this mood effortlessly, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in a sonic world that is equal parts nostalgic and invigorating. As the track progresses, the guitar work takes center stage, unleashing searing riffs and blistering solos that soar above the powerful rhythm section. The band’s ability to seamlessly blend aggressive distortion with melodic passages adds depth and texture to the overall sound, paying homage to the musical nuances that defined the grunge era.
