Iron Asparagus – To whom it may concern... Fuck you!
IRON ASPARAGUS, sons of Speed Metal and Thrash Metal, add to the mayhem with their “Crash Metal” sound. The band presents an EP obviously inspired by the “…And Justice for All” era of Metallica on the orchestration due to the complexity of the compositions and the technical style, especially on the electric guitar sound. The concept, which is trying to escape the stereotypical lyrics of the classic Thrash bands, offers a “strong ironic content” as the band admits. My perspective is that the whole package is carefully constructed in terms of ideas, orchestration, and performance. It has a strong flavour of 1980s thrash metal and will appeal to old school fans, but not only them. The only weak point is the audio production, which requires further treatment in the mastering phase to improve the sound quality and compete with the rest of the Metal bands on the market.
