Pisazz – The Missing Leftover (Track review)
This is a Fusion Jazz journey with complex, emotional, and expressive soundscapes that will feed your mind with cinematic pictures if you close your eyes and try to visualise the sounds that you hear. The orchestration is great, the mainly soft tones of the drums and the dreamy guitar “paint” beautiful sounds on the musical canvas while the bass makes its presence meaningful with its catchy playing. As for musical influences, it reminds me of a Jazzy version of The Police, probably due to the echoed guitar riffs and the early Prog days of Yes. The prog elements are also evident due to the rich orchestration and the music’s changing moods and time signatures. The audio production is cool, and the mix unleashes and reveals the talents of each musician participating on this beautiful track.
