The Lucky Little Red House – Harmonies (Track Review)
On September 22, “Red Bastard,” the third album of The Lucky Little Red House, was made available. It is part of a darker trend than the previous album, “the vanishing of Gama / fatality,” and contains industrial, experimental, and noise. The rhythms are heavy, sluggish, and frequently punctuated by moments of crisis.
The atmosphere of the song “Harmonies” is raw, dark, and almost minimalistic. The romantic sound of the French lyrics (regardless of their meaning) in combination with the Industrial Rock music creates an interesting artistic antithesis. On the audio production level, the sound is lo-fi, and sometimes I feel that a treatment on the mix and mastering would be preferable before the release of the album. The drums, in particular, have an unusual sound that could be altered with appropriate audio effects or reprogramming. Besides that, the overall idea and concept are interesting; it just needs some “studio help” on the implementation.
