Storm Boy – It’s the Mess that Makes Us (Track review)
The music of the new single of the band is modern Alternative Rock with some Post-Punk influences, especially in the guitar. The singer chooses a specifying ironical singing style (similar to Lou Reed in the album Lulu), to express the truth behind the lyrics of the song. The track’s title reflects the social messages of the lyrics and the words discuss in a street-poetic way the inpolitical corerect reality we face and “the mess that makes us” humans. The audio production of the track is OK, although I would like to enjoy the lyrics so my perspective would be to make them more distinct in the audio mix. In this track, Storm Boy delivers a song of protest and anger, if you feel that way then you should join the club of the band;s fans that are already checking out this song.
