Glass Mansions – STANDING O (Track Review)

Here is a track that absolutely rocks, but the Pop direction on the production level and the compression of the electric guitar in the mix, transform it into a mainstream Alternative Pop anthem. Jayna Doyle, the singer, has great performance skills that are also obvious in the promotional video clip of the song: She “Moves like Jagger” (as Maroon 5 used to sing) and feels every note that she sings. As for musical influences, there is a diversity of them, including Madonna, Anastacia, Tori Amos, and a lot of other female artists of the late 1990s. The song would perfectly match the Dance Playlist of a modern Dance TV Station and of course it would be cool if they released a rock version of the song as well since it has the potential to hit the Rock Charts as well.
