Henry Aberson – Your Lady (Track review)

This song was sparked by a recent relationship of the artist that left him naively wishing that his partner would be open to deeper commitments. The disappointment and hurt that followed led him to compose this wonderful Jazz – R&B/Soul track called “My Lady”. Sometimes emptiness could boost creativity as a medium to overcome the pain, and this is what really happened here: A romantic female voice adopts the role of “emptiness” by singing in a melancholic tone and using low octaves to express the sadness; on the other hand, 1970s Soul inspired music adopts the role of “creativity” by using minor music scales and a mix of ballad and uptempo grooves.
