Cabbagetown Mystery – Wendy’s Song (Fairy Tales Soaked in Pale Ale) (Track Review)
Sean Lafleur, from Canada, and Kevin Dolgin, from the United States, make up the folk/rock duo Cabbagetown Mystery. Sean and Kevin first began performing on the streets of Paris thirty years ago. The acoustic duo of the Cabbagetown Mystery presents a Folk Rock track with influences from artists such as Neil Young and Paul Simon. Both performers share the vocals and create a healthy competition between themselves in order to deliver a common message of love and freedom. On a musical level, I feel that the production requires some improvement on the audio mix because the sound of the vocals is a bit raw. On the other hand, if this is a live in the studio recording, then probably it is a matter of taste for the listener who wishes to explore further the music of the band.
