Soundhoose – Phobia (Track Review)
The track begins with a groovy Alternative Rock/Post-Punk guitar riff that is transformed into heavy rock that reminds me a lot of the 2000s music scene and bands such as Orgy and Nine Inch Nails. The lyrics of the track explore the subjects of phobia and paranoia, unleashing a personal and almost cinematic artistic vision of the composer. The production requires a bit “here” and “there” fix tips, especially to improve the audio quality of the song in terms of mastering; however, this should not discourage the listener since the main orchestration of the song is sufficient and interesting for the casual rock n’ roll fan. If you’re looking for something to listen to between the post-punk of the 1990s and the hard rock of the 2010s, this is it. I believe that there is space for experimentation if the band wishes to expand their musical horizons, perhaps by placing some interesting sound effects to emphasize the futuristic/dystopic atmosphere of the track.
