Mystic Stardrone – Bear in the Sky (Track Review)
A trembling guitar effect introduces the listener to an initially dark sound environment, however, the acoustic guitar adds a “positive” element into the darkness, while the singer reads the lyrics as an original spoken-word artist. This is an amagalma of a variety of musical influences that the listener has to deal with while listening to the track: A voice like Lou Reed unleashes a storytelling session that uses acoustic/experimental music as a layer to persuade the listener about his personal, almost spiritual mission. If you would like “music genre tags” then #AlternativeRock and #PostPunk would be your answers. If you need to explore this song further, then you have to listen first and then decide if this is what you are looking for. On music production, my only request from the band would be to rework the audio mix because the music conquers the audio field and it is hard to understand the lyrics of the singer, since voice is the main weapon of this artistic attack.
