Chasing Airplanes – In Desperation (Track review)

When I press the Play button, a noise fades into my speakers before transforming into a full Metalcore assault: Short/raw guitar riffs and a mix of screamo /melodic vocals create a groovy metal track ready to escape from your stereo and crash on the wall of your listening room! Although my initial impression of the song is that it is extremely heavy, the bridge, with its combination of melodic and screaming vocal lines, reminds me of the importance of melody in the structure of metal music: the Metalcore explosion suddenly becomes an audio interface or attraction for Kamelot and even Evanescence fans! How cool is that! If you like Metalcore and PowerMetal, you should definitely check it out!
