DEBDEPAN – Darkest Hour (Track Review)

The emotional emptiness of the track is crawling through a dark (almost) repeating guitar tone, which introduces the listener to a fantasy painted by the sensational voice of the female singer. The track initially “smells” Alternative Rock of the 1990s and bands such as Hole and the L7. As you continue listening carefully to the track, you realize that the final audio result also “breathes” in the glorious air of Shoegaze and Dream Pop, which complete this mix of musical puzzles. The audio production is also OK without any weak points that I can think of, although the dirty guitar sound allows lo-fi elements to be included here, which would also make the song more impressive and give a feeling of belonging to the underground. If you like to musically visualize a Sunday evening or a lonely night, I guess that this song could be your next soundtrack.  I am looking forward to the next musical effort from the band!
