Breaking Fuel – Heaven 2 Now (Track Review)

This band has retro-psychedelic sounds in their music that remind me a lot of the 1960s rock scene or even the Electronica music genre due to the audio mastering. The mix of these music genres is quite confusing if you expect to listen to a normal music band, but I guess that the final audio result is deeply experimental and takes you away from normality and the safe zone of a radio-friendly vibe. On the contrary, I would classify this music as “anti-radio friendly” because it provides a unique way to subject your ears to a roller coaster of emotions such as romance, anger, and nostalgia. The closest similarity with a band that I can think of is probably Muse, mainly due to the vocal lines of the singer. But I think that the band includes strong personal musical elements that will drive them to experiment with a non-rock direction, and I definitely support their mission: “In art, you either experiment or you stay in the shadow of your personal unfulfilled expectations.”
