Paul and Friends, featuring Joe Raines release “What’s the Matter with That?”

OK, folks, the world situation has changed for a variety of reasons which are not very good. We now find ourselves sitting at the edge a very dangerous precipice which could potentially mean global destruction.  I can tell you that nuclear war and radiation contamination know no bounds – political or geographical.  It results in poisoning of the atmosphere and land everywhere and is extremely long-lasting.

Many people have opinions about the possibility of nuclear war.  That includes me.  I and “Paul and Friends” express those opinions here in a tune entitled “What’s the Matter with That?”  This  is a hard-edged, soulful piece which heralds a message to Russia, North Korea, and Iran.  Joe Raines (of “Full FX”) hits this one out of the ballpark.   Please take a listen.

I will leave you with this.  Einstein was a pretty bright guy.  He had a strong and fundamental hand in designing the atom bomb during WW-II.  After the war, he was once asked by a reporter. “How do you think WW-III will be fought?”  Einstein replied “I don’t know how WW-III will be fought, but I can tell you how WW-IV will be fought.”  The reporter replied “How?” Einstein replied “With sticks and stones.”

Take heed, my friend.

I’m including the lyrics below for you.

“What’s the Matter with That?”

Music and Lyrics by Paul W. Sammarco

By “Paul and Friends”, featuring Joe Raines

All people want is just to live;

A little take, a little give.

A place in the sun – where we can live as one –

Until our time is done, is done.

Well, What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

No, we don’t want no ball of fire –

An instant blazing funeral pyre.

All that we plead is the powers that be agree

To let us live in peace, in peace.

Well, What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

You don’t really want it, you just flaunt it

Tryin’ to get a better deal.

Does it really matter if the batter’s

Got no one to play the field?

Please don’t let us down. Turn this ship around.

You sink and we all drown.

Can’t you see? Can’t you see?

“Well, What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?

What’s the Matter with That? What’s the Matter with That?….
