Kevin the Persian Rocks out the place with the Grunge album Southern Dissonance!

Kevin the Persian is a hard rock artist based in New Orleans. His debut album Southern Dissonance was released on January 19, 2022. Musically, the album is in the realm of Alice in Chains with classic rock, grunge and thrash influences. The raw energy of the album brings a lot of memories from the 1990s era and delivers a pure taste of rock n roll for the fans. Southern Dissonance was released on all streaming platforms today. All songs were written and performed by Kevin the Persian. The album was mixed by Austin Deptula, a Grammy & Dove award nominee,  and mastered by Marc Frigo.

The inspiration for writing Southern Dissonance came from two tragic events: (1) The death of HIS mother in 2019 and (2) the pandemic. Ever since then, he has had a morbid feeling that time on earth is short, so it was now or never! Southern Dissonance was recorded over several months in 2021 in a tiny room in an old industrial building in New Orleans with no access to the outside world…meaning no internet (Kevin does not own a cell phone). The goal was to go deep on each song with zero distractions for several hours at a time. Since most of the music he grew up loving was composed in a pre-internet world, Kevin wanted to replicate that creative process as much as possible for Southern Dissonance to explore unorthodox musical and lyrical directions.
