Pop icon SILVY – ‘The Asian P!NK’ signs to Warner Music on Global Deal & releases anthem ‘XL’ on August 20th 2021
SILVY is a priority new global signing for Warner Music. She’s releasing her Body Positivity Anthem ‘XL’ on August 20th, 2021 (International Body Confidence Day). But the Thai-Italian pop star SILVY is way more than an artist with a powerhouse vocal. Her highly engaged and loyal followers love her because she’s passionate about female empowerment and promoting confidence around body positivity.

At only 25 years old, she’s already something of a veteran in the entertainment industry. An award-nominated musician and television actress, she has contributed her distinctive R&B vocal to numerous official soundtracks, as well as appearing on hit reality TV shows such as The Voice (Thailand) and The Masked Singer.
Although SILVY ’s career has traversed a vast and diverse terrain already, that isn’t to say there haven’t been a few bumps along the road. As such, ‘XL’ is not merely an anthem for body positivity, it’s a personal manifesto – a song that serves as a reminder to SILVY as much as it sets an example for her audience. ‘XL’ candidly tells of SILVY’s early experiences with record labels, who attempted to push her into conforming to an image that simply wasn’t her own. When she sings “People used to put me in a box / They made me something that I’m not”, SILVY is recounting her reluctance to physically transform and feminise herself in pursuit of her creative ambitions. Yet the track doesn’t allow itself to sink into melancholic introspection. Instead, it’s an unashamedly fun, celebratory, party-anthem. And SILVY has plenty to celebrate, having now come to understand the kind of artist, moreover, the kind of woman, that she is and wants to be.
As SILVY explains: “I wanted to make a track about my story so far, and include a main theme of my life (body positivity). I had the time of my life working on this song”. ‘XL’ has been co-written and produced by Karma X’s Richard Craker (Jolin Tsai, Liam Gallagher, LYRA, DNCE etc.) alongside other co-writers Stephen Jones and singer-songwriter Valentina Ploy.
XL’ is the first of many anthems that will be released this year and early industry commentators have described her as ‘The Asian P!NK’
“I love performing and have always dreamt that my music would be heard worldwide” says SILVY. Her own dreams align with Warner and Karma X’s intentions, as they have bold ambitions with ‘a heavy focus on breaking both Asia and the USA’.
