Zürich-based rockabilly phenoms The Hillbilly Moon Explosion are all set to bring their highly danceable, hugely energetic brand of rock n’ roll Stateside! Founded by multi-instrumentalist Oliver Baroni along with enchanting chanteuse Emanuela Hutter in 1998, the band became the talk of Europe as they relentlessly toured through Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK. Now, the band has partnered with Los Angeles-based indie label Cleopatra Records for the first ever U.S.-based pressings of their albums on both CD and vinyl. Starting with the incredible 2002 debut album, fittingly entitled Introducing The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, which will be released July 23, and followed by the sophomore effort, Bourgeois Baby, coming September 10, HME will be looking to expand their following on this side of the pond in the same way they’ve conquered Europe: with style, impeccable musical chops and impressive songwriting skills! And keep an eye out for the reissue of the superb third album All Grown Up set to be released later this year.
