ECHO US – The Windsong Spires (Absolute Probability Recordings)

The new album of the band ECHO US is bringing back the sound of Enya and Peter Gabriel under a new umbrella of 70s Prog inspiration and delivers a dreamy album that will travel you away, “close to the edge and down by the river” of your inner mind! First created in the year 2000 as a live synthpop and industrial group in Boston, MA, Echo Us rose out of the ashes of Ethan’s former group Greyhaven, who had climbed to much critical success in the progressive rock scene of the late 1990’s. The main person behind the band is Ethan Matthews who began working on the album in late 2017 and was accompanied by the help of Charlotte Engler, a classical vocalist that adds an ethereal element to the final result. Joining Ethan Matthews is drummer/percussionist Andrew Greene, who played drums on 2009’s The Tide Decides and has performed with many Pacific Northwest bands both live and studio. The album consists of 11 tracks and it is definitely one of the most interesting albums I have listened in 2021, the musicality meets the ethereal atmosphere!
