METAL GOES SCIENCE? A NEW PERSPECTIVE OF CREATING HEAVY MUSIC WITH SOUND DESIGN ELEMENTS
Both heavy rock and cinematic music consist of a variety of loudness levels between musical phrases and also switch between low and high sound frequencies. This common audio spectrum is a challenge because what we hear in the movies (background music during the dialogues, musical scores) sometimes is technically heavier music than a heavy metal track!
However the orchestration makes the difference for the listener, because a guitarless track is not considered heavy enough by the listener. Isn’t it? I am trying to prove the opposite and create heavy music with no traditional heavy metal instruments. That is why I use sounds from the environment (animal sounds, mechanical sounds) that simulate the dynamics and the low/high frequencies of a classic metal song!
Have you ever though of playing heavy music by using audio frequency generators?
Why 50 years after the invention of heavy metal we still have to create heavy music by using guitars, bass and drums?
