Papa Roach Debuts on Billboard 200
Papa Roach’s eighth studio album, F.E.A.R., debuts at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart with 24,000 sold, according to Nielsen Music. It’s the hard rock band’s highest rank since 2009’s Metamorphosis started at No. 3 with 44,000 sold. The new set also marks the band’s highest rank on the Billboard 200 (No. 15) since Metamorphosis bowed at No. 8. (The band’s best Billboard 200 peak is No. 2, achieved with 2002’s lovehatetragedy.)
The new album’s title is an acronym for “Face Everything and Rise,” the title track, which leaps 45-15 on Hot Rock Songs and enters the top five (6-5) on Mainstream Rock Songs. On the latter list, Papa Roach has charted 13 top 10s, including one leader, 2009’s six-week No. 1 “Lifeline.”
