The Bullhounds debut “Protector,” pure rock’n’roll from an all star collective
With a cast of internationally renowned musicians, The Bullhounds debut release Protector will be one of the purest rock’n’roll records of 2015. Mixing the fundamental classic rock of bands like The Black Crowes and Neil Young & Crazy Horse, with the unspoiled energy of The Hives and The Ramones, the band consists of Sheryl Crow guitarist Peter Stroud, three former members of Southern rock legends Georgia Satellites, and Danish business entrepreneur and music aficionado Erling Daell.
“It was central for us to make something pure. Today, music is so overproduced that you cannot feel the life and the nerve. Above all, life and nerve is what rock’n’roll is about,” says Daell. He has gathered songs from various sources such as a songwriting team whose merits include Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, as well as former Georgia Satellites front man Dan Baird. This all to secure one thing: Powerful tunes in a powerful setting.
The album was released 2014 in Northern Europe and reached number 4 in the Danish Album Top 40 in June.
